Brunei’s Teachers' Day is celebrated on every 23rd September in recognition of the good deeds of the teachers to the community, religion and the country. It is celebrated in commemoration of the birthday of the late Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Saadul Khairi Waddien, the 28th Sultan of Brunei for his contribution in the field of education including religious education.
The Curriculum Development Department, Ministry of Education is organising several activities to mark this magnificent occasion.
This year, the Teachers’ Day Celebration will be held on 27th day of October, 2007 at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.
