A SIGNING ceremony for the 2008 Consumer and Food Fair between organiser Sunlit Advertising and event sponsors and partners was held yesterday at Sunlit Advertising's multipurpose hall.
Signing on behalf of Sunlit Advertising was its chairman, Dato Haji Danial bin Haji Hanafiah, in the presence of its managing director Jackson Ting.
Meanwhile, Haji Hamidon Haji Ibrahim signed on behalf of Radio Television Brunei as the official broadcaster, Edayantie Haji Abdul Hamid on behalf of Brunei Press Sdn Bhd as media supporter, Hjh Ismawanti binti Haji Ismail on befhalf of Telbru Sdn Bhd as the official telecommunication sponsor, Alan Kueh Kai Chieh on behalf of Zon365.com as the official website provider, and Agnus Nio Ek Seng on behalf of Panacom as a sponsor.
Event partners include Raniadidas, Signed by Mohd Rano Iskandar Abdullah, and Uniqarts & Crafts, signed by Elain Yee Lai Yin.
The 2008 Consumer and Food Fair, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, will be held at the Inernational Convention Center, Berakas from January 2-6.
The fair, participated by over 200 companies, will also feature exciting activities such as a treasure hunt, cyber games and colouring competitions.

FIFTY percent of the booths for the Consumer and Food Fair 2008 have been occupied, according to Sunlit Adveritsing, the organiser yesterday.
Supported by Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, It will be held at International Convention Center on Jan 2 to 6 2008.
There will be 215 booths with local products, food items, cosmetics, fitness and health, home ware, sport equipment, computers and electronic goods, travel and hotel agencies, banking and finance, insurance agencies, home furnishing, car accessories, jewelry and watches, health food, ice cream and frozed desserts, candies and confectionaries.
To support local SMEs, the fair will include a special section for featuring local products.
It is expected that more than 10,000 people will be visiting the Consumer and Food Fair 2008.

The Consumer and Food Fair 2008, which will be held at the International Convention Centre in Berakas from January 2 to 6 next year, is expected to be one of the biggest exhibitions in Brunei Darussalam. Organised by Sunlit Advertising with support from the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, the exhibition will feature over 215 booths. Twenty percent of the booths have been allocated for overseas companies.
According to Jason Ti of Sunlit Advertising, the five-day exhibition will be a wholesome event for the whole family. Some exhibitors from recent exhibitions such as the Home Products Fair and International Halal Food Expo will also be taking part.
The Consumer and Food Fair will also have a special area on stage to promote distributors of local products.
Participation is expected to be a huge as rental rates for the five-day event only cost B$1,500.
Officials from the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources are currently working with Sunlit Advertising to gather vendors of local SME products.
“This event will provide a different atmosphere for consumers in Brunei, “ he said adding that a number of fun activities and entertainment will also be featured at the event.
