Opening Consumer Fair 2008
The Consumer Fair has returned and the second event features more booths, activities and chances to win prizes!

It was officially launched yesterday at the International Convention Centre by Dato Paduka Hj Hamdillah Hj Abd Wahab, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Primary Resources, and will end this Sunday. It is open to the public and entrance is free.

Dato Hj Danial Hj Hanafiah, Executive Director of Sunlit Advertising Sdn Bhd, was pleased that his company was able to play a part in stimulating the local economy by organising the fair just as they did last year.

He said that its success has been due to the strong support received from exhibitors who experienced brisk business from over 40,000 people who visited the first consumer and food fair in January 2008.

"As we are all aware, business is getting increasingly competitive, both locally and globally. Therefore, I applaud the participating businesses for visibly promoting themselves and Brunei through our consumer fairs," he said.

This time, the Consumer Fair 2008 Part II (CF2) has more than 220 booths, offering a very wide variety of consumer products, including food and beverage, beauty and fashion, home decoration, furniture, car boutique, information technology, insurance, banking and finance, tourism-related offers and an Indonesian bazaar, among many others.

The open concept and lack of restrictions also make CF2 different from other expos. In addition, exhibitors from Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia are expected to showcase their products.

CF2 will also have many supporting events, such as the Brunei CyberGames Tournament, as well as another minor competition featuring the Next Generation games, a colouring contest, a treasure hunt and daily lucky draws, to name just a few.

As such, CF2 should attract visitors from all age groups, said Sunlit's Marketing and Sales Coordinator Rennie Chan. Uniqarts & Craft, one of the event partners, has also been commissioned to organise the biggest hand-painted greeting card in Brunei, which will be open to members of the public and is expected to be another major attraction, she added.

Interested participants need to register at the fair and for more information about CF2, call Sunlit Advertising at 2453666 or visit the official website www.zon365.com.
