Press Release
Signing Ceremony for another Consumer Fair
22/3/08

Following the first ever Consumer Fair’s success back in January, Sunlit Advertisings plans a second one for four days from May 1 at the ICC as a response to requests. Its representatives said that consumers could expect more this time around, with bigger prizes and discounts to be given as well as some fun activities, such as games and contests.

The event has been expanded to accommodate over 250 booths for corporations and companies offering a variety of products and services ranging from food to souvenirs.

Managing Director Jackson Ting said that the expansion was crucial to the project’s development. A higher number of visitors are also expected after the media support that was received. Yesterday saw a signing ceremony between Sunlit Advertising and companies that are involved as the event’s partners. Among those present were Edayantie Hj Abd Hamid, who signed on behalf of official media partner Brunei Press, Hjh Ismawati Hj Ismail for Telbru, and Agus Nio of main sponsor Panacom, as well as representatives of RanoAdidas and Zon365.com.

Something for everyone at 2nd Consumer Fair

19/4/08

Over 220 booths will be featured at the Consumer Fair 2008 Part 2 (CF2) by Sunlit Advertising that will be held at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.

The event scheduled May 1 to 4 is expected to be bigger than the first Consumer & Food Fair 2008 that attracted over 40,000 visitors in January.

Yesterday, Sunlit held an exhibitors briefing where Project Executive Vivien Choo outlined the modus operandi of CF2 to participating companies.

The response from the CFF1 has been phenomenal and it was easily the largest of its kind ever to be held in Brunei Darussalam. CFF1 and CF2 are different from other expos. There are no product restrictions, said Jason Tee, Sunlit Marketing and Sales Manager.

He said 95% of the exhibition booths for CF2 were sold even before CFF1 ended.

The new event will provide consumers food and beverage, beauty and fashion, home decoration items, furniture, car boutique, Information Technology, insurance, banking and finance, Indonesian bazaar and other products.

To attract more visitors, there will be support activities to help to draw in the crowd. There is something for everyone. This is our unique Sunlit concept, said Jason.

CF2 will showcase products of many local entrepreneurs and local agents representing companies from Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia, adding international flavor to the fair.

There will be Brunei CyberGames competition, colouring contest in conjunction with ‘World Kids’ Colouring Day 2008, the biggest hand-painted greeting card, the rewarding hunt (a modified treasure hunt), daily lucky draws and teh tarik and roti-canai making competition.

Winning Eleven (PSII), Guitar Hero III (PSII) and Warcraft (Defences of the Ancients-DOTA) competition (PC) will be featured at the Brunei CyberGames competition.

The colouring competition is sponsored by Co-Leta Trading Company and Staedtler and the rewarding hunt will be co-organised by Sunlit and zon365.com.

Lucky draws will feature attractive prizes sponsored by Panacom Sdn Bhd.

Uniqarts & Craft, one of the event partners, has been commissioned to organize the biggest hand-painted greeting card in Brunei, which will be open to public. We expect this to be another major attraction, she added.
